Hi, I’m Conner /“DJ DECON”
I created The LoveTap when I realized my passion for DJ’ing stemmed from being able to give others that “best night ever” feeling. After experiencing one too many weddings where the DJ wasn’t even mixing songs, I knew I needed to step in.
Let’s back up though. What gives me this superiority over Cousin Charlie who bought a turntable last year or the other companies that give you whichever DJ is available that day?
After graduating SDSU, I turned my passion for music into my own business. A decade later, I had DJ’d in nightclubs and parties all around the world, but found myself ready to leave the nightlife industry for a more stable career in Finance.
My plan worked perfectly - landed an awesome job and continued to DJ events on the weekends (I wasn’t ready to abandon my passion just yet).
It didn’t take long to realize where my years of experience DJing could be utilized most… I attended countless weddings where the DJs were not even blending music. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing (or should I say, hearing)! It was an embarrassment to the craft that I dedicated years of my life to. These weddings were so well planned and executed, but the music simply didn’t meet the level of excitement that everyone imagines for their dream day. I was tired of watching these dance floor slowly disperse after a few classic hits.

I built The LoveTap because I knew people needed a better option for wedding DJ’s in Southern California. I take pride in my ability to bring that “best night ever” energy to each and every wedding I play. This doesn’t just come from my love for music, but is rooted in a personality trait I have carried my entire life - I truly enjoy breaking people out of their shells, especially when I am able to see it happen on the dance floor right in front of me. There is no greater feeling than watching all of the people you love fully let loose to celebrate your big commitment. That’s what the LoveTap is all about, creating life long memories in a night that most won’t forget… and for those who don’t remember, I can assure you it won’t be because of the music (drink responsibly) ;).
What started off as a referral program quickly turned into a new business, The LoveTap. Here’s to a life long commitment…
